The Linda Jamieson School of Dance provides comprehensive dance training at its studio in Kanata, Ontario, in Greater Metro Ottowa. In addition to offering basic and recreational programs for dancers from the ages of 3 to 19, the Linda Jamieson School of Dance prepares serious dancers for a career in dance through its Pre-Professional Program.
Following the world-renowned curriculum of the Royal Academy of Dance, Linda Jamieson’s Pre-Professional Program instructs dancers from 8 to 19 years of age. Candidates must audition for the program in order to gain admittance.
The Pre-Professional Program trains students in specific forms of dance that range from ballet to jazz. It also supports specific courses in dance production and musical theater. Students in the Pre-Professional Program gain access to valuable scholarship opportunities as well as chances to participate in events such as the Youth America Grand Prix International Ballet Competition and both the regional and national championships of the American Dance Awards.
