For more than three decades, the Linda Jamieson School of Dance has provided high quality instruction for dancers of varying ages and skill levels. Recognized for their expertise in dance instruction, teachers at the Linda Jamieson School of Dance are graduates of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) teaching certification program.
RAD is in the middle of rolling out a new training program aimed at encouraging older dancers to participate in organized instruction. The Silver Swans certification is an opportunity for teachers to reach out to senior citizens (over 55 years old) in their communities and offer them the chance to receive specialized dance training. This certification was developed in response to research showing a growing demand for dance instruction in the mature market. The pilot program is currently ongoing, but there is a waiting list for those who want to be part of the next wave. Instructors interested in participating in the Silver Swans certification training program can register by visiting radusa.org.
